The Latest Data Privacy Debacle is a New York Times article written by Zeynep Tufekci. The article achieves accuracy as it contains the name of the author as well as the contact to her. Additionally, the purpose of the article is given as ‘opinion’ and is written by a tech editor making it more accurate. The document also achieves authority because it is published by a news giant well known and accredited. The article also meets its objective which is to continue the debate about data privacy for internet users. The article does not mask advertising information. Coverage and currency are achieved from the fact that the article is detailed and offers attached links as resources to support the argument. The design is legible and the article is free to view, share and comment.

Facebook: Privacy Problems and PR Nightmare is a Newsweek article written by Daniel Lyons. On accuracy, the article presents the author as well as his contact information and a list of his early works and professional information. Newsweek is similarly a known press company, although not as credible as the New York Times, authority is achieved. The goal of the article is to inform readers but does not achieve this objective because it comes out more like an attack on one individual rather than raising the issues with his product. The article, therefore, fails in achieving objectivity. On currency and comprehensiveness, that article falls short by being more of a short rant without resources, and external links attachments to support the ideas. There are a lot of advertisements from the webpage from the first click and keep reappearing after cancellation.
