Abstract

Green practices, also known as a green technology, basically refer to environment-friendly, applied, and implemented techniques in a manner that does not interfere with the environment but enhances conservation of the natural resources. Studies show that green technology adoption brings with it innovational changes that are relatively similar to those obtained by information technology. Green practices are typically based on the four pillars; government-taken initiatives to enhance its success, government incentives to enable electricity generation from renewable sources. Exemption from import and tax duties on solar equipment and their sales tax exemption for solar energy equipment and creation of awareness of the availability of renewable energy and the relative encouragement of green practices (Cao & Wang 2017). Green practices’ primary goal is to satisfy societal demands with minimal depletion or interference with natural resources. Manufacturers are thus encouraged to focus on producing renewable goods and services through the adoption of new and recommended production and consumption methods. Emphasis has been made to minimize environmental pollution and encourage proper waste management; research is being done to devise alternative technologies with minor health-related issues.

Literature Review

(Song & Wang 2018) discusses the market competition, processes of green technology advancements, and its relative comparative benefits in China. The opening up of international boundaries enhances international trade and green practices (Cao & Wang 2017). Discussion on metal additives in the manufacturing methods and the green technology’s subsequent applications (Ahn 2016). Studies have also been done on green technology and renewable energy in steel and its products (Dudin 2017). Scientists have also researched environmental regulation, government R&D funding, and green technology innovation (Guo et al., 2018). Studies have also been conducted on the advantages and disadvantages of green technology, its objectives, challenges, and strengths (Iravani, Akbari, and Zohoori 2017).

Findings

Adopting and implementing green practices has several advantages: the significances are vital to individuals, businesses, the environment, and governments at large. Benefits that come with adopting green practices include a relative reduction in utilization of energy, reduction in waste due to production of re-usable and renewable products, minimization of environmental pollution, cost-intensive production methods, and exploration of new markets. Green practices enable high-profile investments, create a mutual relationship with various government bodies and agencies, and help position a business to challenge future challenges professionally. Generally, adopting green practices encourages the conservation of natural resources, thereby ensuring the retention of water catchment forests and clean air and atmosphere. Green technology will help minimize the rate of respiratory infections resulting from environmental pollution and encourage digital methods of running businesses and government projects. Going green is the way to go for all states and enterprises internationally; developed and developing countries already have strategies to ensure successful incorporation of green practices into their respective states (Iravani, Akbari & Zohoori 2017).

Conclusion

The world is transforming very fast technologically; many states, businesses, and experts are adjusting to the changes; environmental pollution has been a long-term menace for so many decades. The invention of green technology is the only weapon that can evade pollution. Different approaches and strategies have been put in place to ascertain green practices’ success in various economies; adoption of green technologies requires migration to the digital world, hence abandoning traditional ways of doing business and running governments. Governments worldwide should make the necessary efforts to ensure the implementation of green practices in their respective countries; conservation of natural resources and maintenance of a clean atmosphere will thus be effected and ascertained. Human and animal life will be prolonged with a less polluted environment, reducing the extinction of certain plant and animal species in the ecosystem. Adopting green technology is the way to go for all nations globally; it is the responsibility of every person to ensure green practices in daily life and activities.
