What is your vision about your role as a Global citizen?

My Vision as a Global Citizen

As a global citizen, I acknowledge and understand my place in the wider world. Notably, the most important role of being a global citizen includes being an active member in the community and working together with my peers, seniors, and juniors to create a better, peaceful, suitable, comfortable, and fairer world for everyone. Evers since I was a child, I was passionate about the environment and sustainability. Growing up, I have always been intentional about positive energy and actions contributing to building my community’s values. My actions have always been focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. Arguably, I need to have visions; Visions that drive my focus and help me achieve my intended goals, thus creating a better space for everyone. This paper seeks to discuss my visions as a citizen of the universe and identify how these visions relate to global citizenship.

Notably, I have two vision statements. My first vision statement is “to be a role model in society and live a meaningful life for myself and others. To be a caring, empathetic, and kind person who cares for everyone, regardless of their place in my life. My focus is on leading a life that involves constant learning and improvements, not only for myself but also for others in the community, and creating a space for others to seek help and provide help to others. Through this cycle, we can all establish an atmosphere of kindness, thoughtfulness, and safety.

My double vision is to earn respect for myself due to my abilities and accomplishments and maintain environmental sustainability by creating awareness and participating in activities that protect, preserve, and maintain the beauty of nature.

Conversely, the components that drive my first vision statement include being a networker, nurturer, communicator, and builder. Markedly, as a networker, I am a social person who engages more often with people. I enjoy working with people from different life cadres and forming a network that identifies the common challenges in society and finds potential solutions to address these challenges. As a communicator, my focus is on helping others to know and understand their roles in society. Arguably, I acknowledge that effective communication is key in achieving the intended objectives. Therefore, I believe in adequate communication concerning global citizenship. Since being a global citizen involves caring for others, I believe that by being a nurturer, I can provide the necessary assistance in my community and provide a space where people can seek the much-needed help comfortably.

As a builder, I believe that actions speak louder than words. Therefore, I engage in activities that exhibit reliable and visible solutions. Through this approach, I can build a team that focuses on combating the problems we face as a community, creating a better universe.

My double vision is about environmental sustainability. Notably, the contemporary world records unimaginable cases of environmental pollution, mainly caused by anthropogenic activities. As a global citizen, I focus on creating awareness of these activities’ importance and dangers and enlightening people on the possible solutions or available options to prevent such pollution. I also take part in tree planting events in my community since this step is crucial in restoring most of what has been lost in the environment. However, we cannot achieve sustainability overnight; the baby steps we make as human beings matter a lot. Therefore, once we acknowledge our roles in the wider world and establish visions, we can all create a better, fairer, safe, comfortable, and sustainable environment as a citizen of the globe.
