Personal Branding Strategy

Personal brandings planning how one appears to the world. I will build my personal brand using four major steps which include understanding oneself, analyzing oneself, speaking engagements, and building my profile. After watching the videos on personal branding, there are varying thoughts and ideas of personal branding. A major step is offering my background or telling a story of who you are that offers a clear understanding of who I am. For instance, I was born on March 19, 1988, in Puerto Rico. After relocating to the United States, I lost my parents in a road accident when I was five years. I lived with my relatives up to the time I landed my first job.

A self-reflection is essential to stock on my strengths, best attributes, and weaknesses. This will also offer a chance to state a particular discipline or talent that one is best at. Figuring out what you are accurately offers a reflection of your professional and personal identity. The personal brand is more of a roadmap than a reflection. This means it’s a roadmap of where one is going. Therefore, it is important to understand your existing competencies and skills. For instance, I have strong analytical skills and extensive industry knowledge of supply chain management. I have worked for 14 years in the active-duty Army as a logistics manager and supply sergeant. Since college, I have developed excellent experiences and leadership skills in the industry which has enabled me to gain a well-round view of the career.

Considerably, it is important to state my objectives and move in my career. For instance, I have pursued a Bachelor of procurement and logistics and currently pursuing a BS in Business administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. Another major step is defining one’s audience. Before beginning to craft a personal brand, it is important to determine who one is trying to reach. Ideally, defining the audience allows one to easily craft their story since one can easily understand the type of story they need to tell. Therefore, the most important things in a personal branding strategy entail telling a story, understanding the audience, analyzing oneself, and building a profile.
