Face-to-face and electronic communications are different ways that individuals engage each other to pass essential information. Both are offer an interpersonal way of communicating and expressing thoughts and feelings. However, they differ in line with message understanding, privacy risks, convenience, and effectiveness in message delivery.
Thesis Statement: While face-to-face and electronic communications offer an interpersonal ways of communicating and expressing thoughts, face-to-face communications accelerate the depth of a message, are convenient, offer instant feedback and reduce privacy risks compared to electronic communications.
Face-to-face and electronic communications have key similarities and differences that might make people select one over the other. The responsibility lies on the communicating parties depending on the goals they have for their communication process.
