The great depression entailed the worldwide economic downturn, which began in 1929 to about 1939. The economic downturn had severe impacts on the industrialized Western world, especially the United States. It brought about fundamental changes in economic institutions, macroeconomic policy, and economic theory. The great depression also led to a drastic decline in output, severe unemployment, and acute deflation, not just in the United States but also in every part of the globe.

The purposes or goals of the New Deal programs you researched
