Multicultural Dimensions of Helping in Human Service Delivery
Dignity Healing is a rehabilitation program that has been implemented in Pahokee, Florida, to curb the rising cases of drug addiction. Dignity Healing rehabilitation center is located at 120 State Market Road, Pahokee, FL 33476. Most of the youths in Pahokee have been adversely affected by substance abuse, leading to low employment, poor educational outcomes, increasing street violence, and increasing domestic abuse cases. In this regard, Dignity Healing was established to provide advanced comprehensive treatment services to the community’s youth with substance use disorders and associated co-occurring illnesses. Dignity Healing targets Pahokee youth aged between 14 to 25 years. The treatment services offered by Dignity Healing to rehabilitate youth with substance abuse disorders include individual behavioral therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
Dignity Healing addresses multiculturalism and diversity through different methods. Firstly, Dignity Healing sources clients from diverse backgrounds in Pahokee, including African Americans, the White, Native Americans, Latinos, Mexicans, and other minorities without discrimination or a particular preference. Besides that, Dignity Healing Prouds itself in offering client-centered rehabilitation services; thus, the center focuses on hiring staff from diverse backgrounds, focusing on minorities such as African Americans, Native Americans, Latinos, people with disabilities, and other minority populations.
Dignity Healing emphasizes delivering culturally sensitive client services. Consequently, the rehabilitation center monthly trains its entire staff on cultural competence, enabling them to have the necessary cultural knowledge to handle clients from diverse backgrounds. Furthermore, dignity Healing promotes social justice through alleviating drug abuse among the minorities and connecting the poor minority youths with employment opportunities after their successful rehabilitation. Besides that, Dignity Healing provides free services to African Americans, Native Americans, Mexicans, and Latinos as their youths are primarily from poor backgrounds arising from economic disparities due to systemic racism. For centuries, it has left them with significantly few resources compared to the white populations. Therefore, through advancing its free rehabilitation services to the minority, as mentioned above folks, Dignity Healing effectively responds to inequality among diverse people in Pahokee.

ANSWER
The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act
The comprehensive addiction and recovery Act (CARA) of 2016 is the policy of my choice. The policy authorizes over 181 million dollars each year which must be used to respond to the opioid epidemic. The policy aims at increasing prevention programs and the availability of treatment programs (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, 2016). The policy launched evidence-based opioid and heroin treatment and interventions. The policy also strengthened prescription drug monitoring programs to help track drug diversions and help at-risk individuals access services. The policy has generally been helpful in helping fight the opioid epidemic. Sec. 301 of the policy addresses treatment and recovery. The policy authorizes HHS to award grants to State misuse agencies, ensuring that the grants reach all citizens, including those in rural areas (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, 2016). The grants are also distributed depending on the statistics on geographic areas that have had an increase in the opioid epidemic. The different sections of the policy address different patients, including veterans and post-partum mothers.
The policy addresses and reaches diverse populations. It does not limit multicultural dimensions of helping, and different sections of the policy address how the funds are to be used for the treatment of patients recovering from addiction. Like dignity healing, the policy addresses multiculturalism and diversity without discrimination (Gross & Gordon, 2019). It ensures that all the members of the population, including those in rural areas and those in the afflicted areas, receive care. The policy ensures that there are enough funds to provide care for those in marginalized areas and from low-income areas (Townley, 2016). The program and policy address social justice by ensuring that the members of the society suffering from substance addiction get dignified care. The dignity of a patient is essential to ensure they fully recover, and that is what the dignity healing rehabilitation program together with CARA does. The two address inequality and poverty in that people are treated equally in the programs, and there are no social classes as the federal government funds the program.
