History captures the desire of people seeking purpose and a desire to make their stamp on in this world before departing it. Design, dignity, cultivation, and services are qualities within our lives that sets the foundation of our beings. Keller & Alsdorf (2014. pp 33,48, 54-55, 74) suggest that human beings were created to work as a design of a divine purpose, display the image of God as dignity, increase skills to grow the work so it flourishes as a way of cultivation, and through work we are blessed by serving others to honor God by displaying His love for humanity. Christians is a faith that believes work is a blessing beyond the pure need to survive. Through our work performance and lives we can share God and in doing so it is an act of worship and praise.

Hardy’s Work-Life Perspective

Lee Hardy’s perspective of work-life balance is a necessity for survival as humans are not self-sustaining beings. Other philosophers such as Aristotle who describes thought as god-like and works as animal-like to be conducted by slaves and that the human soul was a mere necessity to perform rational functionalities during life (Hardy, 1995, pp 14-15). How one leads others through the concept of life while question the existence of God is a believe it or not question. Without God, life becomes a vapor that dispersers to never be a future thought while with God, life has a purpose to serve and show love for one another.

Related Human Resource Strategic Function Implications

Human resources are an organizational function to implement the efforts to maximize the physical assets, financial assets, intellectual assets, and human assets, referred to as human capital (Valentine et al., 2019, p. 7). Identifying the appropriate balance for sustainable operation in the desired environment provides employee roles and organizations a purpose of service and success. All organizations require human resources necessity to forecast labor availability and skill level requirements to support production and operation of the organization (Valentine et al., 2019, pp. 51-52). Human resource efforts center around the design which support the business strategies for operational sustainment.

Identifying the balance of costs, operation requirements, diversity requirements, while cultivating a desirable work environment. The work environment and leaders who predicate the organizational values Human resource functions effectively maintain a status scorecard measuring financials reports to ensure effective management of the bottom line; internal business processes for smooth and efficient operations, customer relations to measure expectation satisfaction levels to support repeat purchases, and learning and growth activities which provides avenues of success and sustainability of employees and organization (Valentine et al., 2019 p. 61). Other authors agree that human resource efforts supported by upper-level managers is the direct engagements with first-level managers as they are the leaders who support the design, dignity, cultivation, and service through human resource management strategies, policies, and practices (Steffensen et al., 2019). It is through the designated leaders and natural leaders who support operational success and sustainability. These are the employees human resource teams seek engage for organizational efficiencies.

Human resource focuses on organizational needs to balancing purpose and skills for operational sustainability. Talent acquisition is a human resources niche effort which support sustainability. This area involves analysis and understanding of the pre-recruitment phase of analysis of manpower necessities and budget limitations, candidate selection process of effectively communicating requisitions and sourcing required skills through compensations, and post recruitment of background checks, billing, and invoicing (Rao, & Priyadarshini, 2017). These efforts are some initial steps to designing, providing dignity, and cultivating a work environment while acquiring the necessary skills to provide the services necessary for efficient and sustainable operation.

ANSWER

Response 1

Hello, according to Keller’s big picture, God created human beings and then created work for them to find dignity in it. Without work, human beings would not be able to fend for themselves. They, therefore, need to cultivate their work through various innovations. They also have to serve God and others using their work (Keller & Alsdorf, 2014). When Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden, they were ordered to cultivate the earth, which would, in turn, produce food that was going to feed them and their children. Therefore, work is designed for humans to use for the provision and create a mark in the world for themselves.

Hardy’s work-life perspective talks about two types of individuals. Those who get satisfaction from what they do and those who work to get satisfaction out of the world (Hardy, 1995, pg 2). According to hardy, these are the main reasons people work. Some people work because their work fulfills them and others work because they need to acquire finances to fulfill their desires.

According to valentine et al. (2019), human capital is essential for all organizations. The human resource department is an important function. It maximizes the physical assets and ensures that they make the best out of the human capital through motivation and morale boost. Human resource is indeed an essential part of a successful business, and all organizations need a human resource department. The human resource department is responsible for several functions in organizations. These include factors such as ensuring that employees are fairly compensated, diversity in the organization, and aligning the company with human capital that best suits the. The human resources department also ensures that the human capital is not being misused, which leads to the growth of the organization.
