Expectations from the Course

I have always had a passion for numbers and puzzles and it is the reason I opted for a career in accounting. Accounting to me presents the absolute activity to the achievement of order both on the individual and organisational level. By the age of 15, I would file  taxes for my parents, something that begun as a hobby and graduated into a career. In this course I hope to learn more on the principles of accounting in the United States towards the achievement of successful proffessional skills in the field of accouting.

From Chapter One study notes, I found the financial statement bit a little more interesting because I am a little bit coversant with some of the statements such as the balance sheet and income statements from my own online reading. I look forward to learning and practicing even more financial statements. The purpose of the mutimedia section is to bring in all facets the facilitates learning into play. From an old phrase, ‘when you read you learn, but when you see, you remember’, multimedia sources in enhancing memorry for appropriate application of the principles in the real world. I look forward to learning from the material and discussions with my peers and by the end, I hope to come out a better accountant equiped with both knowledge and skills that will be instrumental in the field.
