Understanding the varying stages for trauma care enables the clinicians to greatly support the patient care goals. When healthcare providers understand the different patient control interventions they will decrease the detrimental effects.
Research Questions The research seeks to answer the question of what trauma treatment protocols are effective in handling trauma pain.
Define Hypothesis Developing a protocol to manage and assess pain in trauma patient can aid lower the pain experienced by trauma victims.
Identify Dependent and Independent Variables and Type of Data for the Variables Dependent variable – Pain protocol, pain management techniques

Independent Variable- Trauma patients, patient pain level

Population of Interest for Study The people of interest for the study are nurses and patients that directly interact with the treatment protocols.
Sample Staff and patients
Sampling Method The study relied on random sampling. Patients and nurses were chosen from a large set within the hospital settings.
Identify Data Collection Data was collected through surveys by the use of questionnaires and interviews.
Summarize Data Collection Approach The surveys focused on evaluating the success of the proposed protocols as solutions for pain control among trauma patients. The first survey focused on nurse staff that undertook the proposed protocols while the other survey was carried out on patients to assess the level of pain for patient before and after the implementation of the protocols.
Discuss Data Analysis The study analyzed the aggregated survey data that was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed solutions for trauma pain control. The data will indicate the patient levels that will reveal the disparities in the outcome of patient treatment through the pain control protocols. The correlational analysis was used to evaluate the strength of the relationship between the two variables pain protocols and patient pain levels.
Summarize Results of Study The study indicated a significant correlation between pain control and patient pain level. The patient pain level revealed a deviation after the protocols were implemented. Therefore, the pain management protocols play an essential role in the controlling pain among trauma patients.
Summary of Assumptions and Limitations The researcher assumed that the questionnaire was reliable and thus would give similar responses in repetitive testing. The study also assumed the similarity in the characteristic of participants within the study. The study assumed that all nurses and patients will follow the protocols. The study was based on a single hospital which impacts the effectiveness of the pain protocols due to different complications depending on the situations of the patient.

Ethical Considerations

Research ethics entails requirements on daily research activities in the protection of dignity subjects as well as publication of data in research. The major ethical considerations when conducting a research include informed consent, beneficence, and respect for privacy, anonymity, and confidentiality. Informed consent focuses on the participants to ensure that they are knowledgeable about the study. The researchers have to ensure that the participants are aware of the aim of the study and how the results will be utilized. Any additional information should be offered to the participants to enable them decide whether they will participate in the evaluation or not. This implies that the individual offer their support freely and in a straight forward manner. For this research, the patients and nurses were allowed to make rational choices on whether to engage on the study. They were provided with essential knowledge that would facilitate an effective approval. The nurse staffs were also trained on the protocols and how they should implement them in the treatment process of the patients. Confidentiality means that the participant’s information is not made available. The staff and patient names of the participants were not revealed. This was essential in maintaining their privacy and protecting the participants. Beneficence entails significant and effective research that does not harm the participants abut serves in promoting their welfare. The research ensured that there was no interference of personal life during the collection of data. The patients were only tested to determine their pain level at their own will.
