Directions

At the bottom of this page are the questions I would like you to address in the case study analysis. This will not be an overly long paper. The ability to concisely express your opnion and concepts is important in the workworld and graduate school.

Your analysis should be 600-800 words following APA format (go to OWL PURDUE ) including coverage, header, headings, pagination, intext citations, and reference page) The coverpage, reference page, and intext citations do NOT count towards the required word count.

The following comments are best practices suggestions which I hope you find helpful.

APA Margins and Fonts: Side/Bottom/Top margins must be 1” and font size 12pt. Times New Roman is recommended but Arial is also acceptable. Please double check your margin settings.
Length of paper: A 600-800 word paper is an 600-800 word paper. Please do not submit a 200 word paper or a 2000 word paper. Depending upon use/length of in-text citations, an APA paper is generally 275 words per page. Your writing needs to be clear, concise, and strategically edited. Your ideas must be fully developed with detailed supporting materials
Cover page: All papers should have a cover page and follow the correct format
Headers: All papers should include headers.
Pagination: All papers should include pagination and follow the correct format
Headings: You are not responsible for using the correct level of headings but at least one level of heading must be used to identify the sections of the paper. Your papers should not be one long run-on narrative. Use the questions or summaries of the questions as headings.
Sections of an APA paper that I do not want:
a- Abstract: Not required and not included in grade tabulation. However, the correct length of an abstract is 50-80 words
b-A literature review is not required
Citations: In-text citations are required. You cannot include statistical information or make specific claims regarding a particular group’s or individual’s behavior without supporting citations. As stated in the APA guideline “If you are referring to an idea from another work but NOT directly quoting the material, or making reference to an entire book, article or other work, you only have to make reference to the author and year of publication and not the page number in your in-text reference. All sources that are cited in the text must appear in the reference list at the end of the paper.”
Colloquial (informal) style of writing: Colloquial writing style should not be used in a college or professional paper. For example, replace “Due to the fact of” with “the facts support” or “supported by” or “regarding” or “pertains to”. Pronouns should not be used. For example replace “They” with “The organization” or “The cohort” or “The group”.
Abbreviations and Acronyms should not be used without previous explanation. As stated in the APA guideline “When abbreviating a term, use the full term the first time you use it, followed immediately by the abbreviation in parentheses.”
Do not assume the reader is familiar with subject matter pertaining to niche topics or cultural references. Consider using footnotes to explain the subject matter.
Syntax, Grammar, Spelling, and Punctuation: Please proof read your papers. Do not rely solely on spell check. An improperly used but correctly spelled word will not be caught by spell check. Also, please ensure you are using words within correct context.
Do use industry appropriate terminology – Do use concepts and theories discussed within the course textbook
Formatting of references. You do not need to do this manually. In fact, I would strongly recommend you use the “manage sources” feature within MS-Word (found under the references tab) or use a research tool such as Zotero.

In the fall of 2014, the team at BOLT is planning to simultaneously open a new facility in San Francisco modeled on their Boston facility, and raised $25 million venture fund.

In your paper, you might consider the following questions:

Evaluate BOLT using the People, Context, and Opportunity framework. Do you believe BOLT identified an attractive opportunity? What have they proven? What remains to be proven?
Are the deal terms BOLT offers to entrepreneurs fair? Has BOLT delivered on the value-added promises made to entrepreneurs?

Project Overview

Bolt is a company that deals with soft and hardware development as distribution to the users. Bolt Company mainly invests in companies that employ digital technology in their workspace. By doing this, Bolt Company gets market opportunities because the world today is using high technology devices and software (Lefebvre 2021). Bolts do its investments early in these companies to make sure that it is involved before these companies start their projects and make sure that the company is counted in the final output. BOLT Seed Venture is a project that the Bolt Company initiated to make sure that it opens a facility in San Francisco their prototype was modeled at their former facility in Boston (Lefebvre 2021). The company mainly deals with the intersection between software and hardware. The world today has become so digitalized that everywhere you go you find that computers are utilized in almost all the fields.

The goal of BOLT Seed Venture Capital Firm

The main goal of the BOLT Seed Venture Capital Firm project is to lower the cost of using technology devices in businesses for experimenting as an entrepreneur. Many companies and organizations have been spending huge amounts of money on projects that involve the definition of hypothesis and their objectives. The Bolt seed venture capital firm aims to lower this cost and make sure that the cost can be met by any organization that wants to utilize the high technology devices in coming up with their hypothesis. This project will also lower the cost of doing future analyses in all the organizations.

Scope of This Project

This project mainly covers the areas involved in technology. The project mainly focuses on the technology used in several organizations and how the cost of using this technology can be lowered to favor the development of projects and ensure that companies meet their targets and goals.

The project

Bolt Company noticed the problem that has been there in experimentation in businesses that major in hardware. Bolt Company noticed that these companies need extra work staff if they opt to venture into hardware operations (Trabskaja & Mets 2019). The company came with a project that will make sure that these costs a lowered. Bolt’s project is to come up with a combination of software and hardware that will help to lower the cost spent in the operations (Trabskaja & Mets 2019). Bolt Company has staff that can develop hardware as well as software that will be used to lower the entrepreneurial experimentations. This will lower their cost of production because there will be no need of hiring an expert from outside the organization to design this software and hardware (Trabskaja & Mets 2019). The bolt company has also all the requirements required to develop this combination of software and hardware. This will enable the company to accomplish its plan in a very short period. Bolt Company creates a space and a procedure to assist in the development of the next generation of independent hardware businesses (Trabskaja & Mets 2019). Bolt company also provides financial and investment guidance and coaching to the management teams of their portfolio companies.

The project is on track because many companies are rising in technology and are lowering the cost of entrepreneurial experimentations (Lefebvre 2021). This shows that the BOLT Seed Venture Capital Firm project is very effective.
