Working in a Small Group

Working in a Small Group

The last time I was working in a group we were supposed to complete a project. Working in a group can be very challenging at times. Different individuals have different views and ideas that may not always agree with one another. Relatively not all the members work in the same pace or offer the same importance in the group. My last group project was one of the best experience I have ever had while working in a group. All the project members played their role in ensuring that the project was successful. All the members put in hard work and attention to offer a good presentation. I played the role of a team leader during the project. As the team leader I was responsible for planning, execution and motivation of team members to undertake their tasks effectively and take an active role within the project.

Working with the group was very interesting, productive and effective since everyone understood their role and were happy in the role they were playing in the group. The team members collected ideas from one another and supported the ideas creating good interrelations among each other. Relatively, the team members asked each other questions when they never understood something.  We finished the project in time with each member ensuring that their parts were completed effectively and on time.

As the team leader I ensured that every participant had a clear understanding of their responsibilities and duties within the group. We had a group that always accommodated different member’s preferences and attitudes to work cohesively as a group. In my opinion working in a small group with an effective leader and group members that are of the same interests is significant in achievement of good results. When all the members are putting efforts to achieve a common goal correctly and on time the experience of working with others is wonderful.
