They each only need 1-2 strong paragraphs.

I have been working on them but I wanted some extra input just to ensure I give enough information – I have been overthinking these, so I have put them off to the end.

ANSWER

Classroom Management

Question 1

Glasser’s choice theory is the best classroom theory; according to Glasser, the most important need is love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun, and thus the classroom is required to satisfy the needs of the students (Lyngstad, 2022). According to choice theory, the teachers work to ensure that the needs of the students are satisfied; if the student’s needs are satisfied, the students will not need to disrupt the classroom, and they will also connect with the lessons, feel a sense of confidence and also enjoy the classroom as it meets their needs.

Question 2

No response is the most difficult category for a teacher to handle. This is because, without a response, the teacher does not know how to handle the student as they did not give a response, and thus the teacher cannot assess the student’s weaknesses or strengths.

Question 3

  1. A good lesson plan is essential in the learning and teaching process. A lesson plan is like a compass direction for the teacher only that it guides the teacher on what to teach. Planning eth lesson plan two weeks ahead enhances the learning experience for the learners as the teacher will have enough time to plan the activities to suit all the learners’ needs.
  2. Having extra activities for those who finish their work early ensures that the students do not get bored and disturb others that are not done with the class activities. It also helps keep the students busy and ensures the other students do not feel rushed.
  3. Rewards are usually motivations for good behavior and performance; punishments are usually employed to stop unpleasant behavior in class. Being consistent ensures the students know that they will be rewarded if they behave in a certain way. Thus, maintaining the behavior inconsistency confuses the students as they do not know when they will be punished or rewarded.

Question 4

Personal communication involving an oral exam is the best assessment for this case. This is because, in oral communication, the students are given a chance to express their mastery of the class materials without being restricted (Andrade & Brookhart, 2020). This will also enable the teacher to understand the extent to which the students have understood the material taught in class and whether or not the class activities were effective.
