The mission, vision values, and strategies are essential for the strategic direction of an organization. These are important in defining the operational tactics and future goals that help provide employees with the purpose of the organization (Kokemuller, 2014). The mission outlines the company’s business goals, as well as the strategy to reach the goals. The vision defines the base of the organization and represents why the organization exists. All the operations of the organization are drawn concerning the vision of the organization. The vision offers the direction of the organization and looks at the company’s future on more strategic aspects.

The mission and vision help in creating an organizational strategy for the company. Additionally, they outline performance metrics based on the goals of the organization (Kokemuller, 2014). The corporate values set the tone for the organizational culture and identify what the organization cares about. The values are the basis of motivations, attitudes, and expectations of employees within an organization. Strategies are essential since the organization can offer the overall tactical direction for the management of the business as well as give detailed direction into areas such as marketing strategy, financial strategy, human resource strategy, as well as an organizational development strategy to achieve success.

Organizational culture is considered a classification of shared ideals, beliefs, and assumptions which govern how individuals behave within a business. The shared values, mission, vision, and strategy of an organization have a strong influence on how people act and carry out their duties (Kokemuller, 2014).
