Hello Alona, I agree that brands do not necessarily have a finite life. If they try enough, they can live forever. In my opinion, even clothes and electronics do not completely go out of style. They keep coming back with years. If one looks closer at the dressing styles of the 21st century, one can date them back to the previous centuries, only that they have been rebranded. The same applies to brands. Brands do not die as long as they keep rebranding and innovating themselves to meet the needs and wants of the customers. Indeed, brands do not become obsolete, sometimes they take a break, but brands can always come back if they are innovative.

The key to having an infinite life is innovation and changing with the market trends. Some companies and brands have dominated the market for years. Hello Benjamin, I am with you in that taking aside this topic is rather difficult. However, I believe that there are brands that were there before we were born, and there is a possibility that they will outlive us. I consider that infinite, and thus, brands do not have a finite life; however, whether or not a brand lives forever or it dies s dependent on the brand’s ability to change and to become innovative. Some brands die and come back to life after years of being out of the market; thus, brands do not have a finite life.

This is not new to us, as we have seen brands dominate the market for some time and disappear like they were not there. However, this is not proof that brands have finite lives. This is because there are other brands that have been there for a long time.
