Ethical conflict arises after the personal beliefs of the people collide with the organizational goals. I agree with the study that GAP Company is one of the largest clothing suppliers with a history of child labor and in 2022 has been known for the use of child labor among their supplier. The GAP manufacturers are known for child labor law violations. Gap is focusing on profits rather than moral reasoning not to use children as laborers. The working condition for the workers are unethical such as hot conditions, 12 hours days and low wages. The implications for ethical conflict included losing brand loyalty, low employee morale and bad press which lead to poor business practices. I agree with the post that GAP needs to focus on implementing contract agreement that eliminates child labor and monitors the hours a child work. Educational and child care programs to prevent children from being involved at work. The GAP also needs to begin a campaign against child labor. Additionally, the company needs to focus on developing policies that will create conduct for the contracts and employees.

Baran focused on sexual harassment that happened within the company where multiple workers at the Activision Blizzard were subjected to pregnancy discrimination and sexual harassment. Sexual harassment entails unwelcome sexual request, sexual favors and sexual advance. The wide implication of sexual harassment in the workplace can result to hostile work settings for the employees. Activation Blizzard CEO has had a lawsuit filed against the company after investigation. The company has ended up having payout $18 million in eligible present and past employees that have been affected by the implications. Activision Blizzard should focus on reporting harassment and development of policies that will enable the company handle things ethically. Developing sexual harassment policy prevents the sexual harassment which prohibits sexual harassment in the working environment. The company should also focus on promoting culture of mutual respect in the working environment.
