Joe Biden is better on the world’s stage than any other president since George H.W Bush. Retrieved from https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2021/06/20/joe-biden-donald-trump-contrast-china-russia-nato/7733369002/
The article talks about the dominance Joe Biden has shown to the international arena that his predecessors failed to do in their different ways. President Biden is the most experienced sitting President, having accumulated 47 years of experience before stepping into office. In comparison, all of the other Presidents performed miserably in terms of seeing through their policies and even meditating for peace in the gulf. The article notes that both President Trump and Obama stepped into office with no prior experience of dealing with international global issues. President Bush ranks second as having a 17-year of experience before joining the office, but this did not help his problems of having perhaps the worst international image of all the presidents. Quite notable was the catastrophic invasions of Iraq with the excuse of looking for weapons of mass destruction. The article goes on to narrate how other presidents also failed miserably at the international stage. However, the article argues that Biden has done a good job so far, and this can be attributed to his vast experience accumulated over the years.
This reading is related to the topic ‘political science’ that I am currently reading. As the topic deals with politics and the systems of governance and power, the article has all these elements that make it tick. It talks about different presidents and their policies. It also talks about how each fared, how they were respected on the global stage, and how they handled different political situations.
In my opinion, the article is accurate and not bias. It is transparent and talks the truth about how the former presidents fared while handling global issues. I believe that President Joe Biden is doing a tremendous job and has helped restore the lost and negative image that President Trump left. He has also brought stability and tranquility back for the people of America, and I believe that this is just the beginning, and there is more to anticipate from him.
