Students should respond to at least one original post by supplying a different (3rd) theory on the fact (observable behavior in the original post). You don’t have to think the theory is right. You are only showing how different theories can apply to the same behavior. Do not respond to another student by saying that you agree or disagree with the theories already described. Do not respond by talking about the observable behavior in other people.

Erikson’s Theory of Psychosocial Development in Adolescents
Student’s Name
Erikson’s Theory of Psychosocial Development in Adolescents
Storm and stress theory is related to the Erikson theory of psychosocial development in adolescents. This theory emphasizes the social component of our growth. According to his thesis, we evolve on a psychosocial level throughout our lives. Erikson concludes that people have the concept of self which in more he refers to the ego identity gets impacted by how we have connected with other people (Orenstein & Lewis, 2021). He bases his theory that a human being will undergo eight developmental phases that lasts from early childhood to late adulthood.
Erik Erikson thought that developing an identity was the main psychosocial work of adolescence (Maree, 2021).
Teenagers put their allegiance to an identity on wait during the psychological moratorium of adolescence to explore their possibilities. When teenagers must navigate the difficulties of discovering their identities, Erikson described this as the fifth psychosocial task of life: confusion between roles and identities. Inquiries in this stage focus on a person’s looks, employment preferences, education, friendships, , personality sexual orientation and social beliefs, and interests. Erikson perceived this as a time of uncertainty and experimentation with one’s identity and course in life.
This period of adolescence is a bridge between the past and the future. Self-identity development is affected by how they handled their prior childhood psychological crises. Erikson, therefore, believes that an adolescent’s primary question is, “Who am I?” the question “Who do I like being?” Identity development was emphasized as the key sign of effective adolescent development (Tatlılıoğlu, 2018). When adolescents have reexamined the objectives of their parents and the culture, this stress is favorably solved by attaining an identity and the acquiring fidelity (ability of being faithful) as a newfound virtue. Some teenagers take on the morals and behaviors that society expects of them. Some adolescent people adopt identities that are at odds with their parents but fit in with their peer group. This transformation is typical as peer interactions take center stage in adolescents’ life.
