ANSWER
An implementation plan to decrease wait time
Organizational strategies needed to implement and maintain the change plan
It is manifest that having a long waiting time is frustrating for the patients. This is one of the major issues that could affect patient satisfaction negatively. There is hence a need to find the right balance to ensure that the wait time for all the patients is reduced. A part of the strategy includes having adequate staffing at the hospital facility. By increasing the number of staff members, then lesser patients will be allocated to one practitioner, meaning that the time taken for one service will be faster, leading to a reduction in time (Heath, 2018). As a part of the plan, the management of the facility will need to allocate more resources and also plan on how to hire suitable and qualified caregivers, who will ensure that the ratio of patients to caregivers is reduced. The plan will also entail consulting all the hospital stakeholders to discuss and agree on why it is vital to increase the number of caregivers at the facility, as a way of ensuring that the wait time for all patients is decreased.
The stakeholders needed to support the implementation of the proposed plan
The key stakeholders at the hospital facility wild greatly help in the implementation of the change plan. One of the key stakeholders involved with the change plan includes the management of the institution. This includes the CEO, the team members, and other senior members of the facility. This is a crucial team of stakeholders who are involved in making the final decisions and in the facilitation of the change plan. The management of the hospital facility will also decide the number of new employees to employ at the facility, and will hence be key in the reduction of wait time (Lübbeke, Carr, & Hoffmeyer, 2019). Patients are also key stakeholders who will play a role in helping in the implementation of the change plan. Patients will need to air their opinions, views, and recommendations on how the change plan needs to be implemented, and the various departments at the facility that have the longest wait time. The hospital community is also a key stakeholder. This is since its input in the implementation is much needed in that it will aid in ensuring that more ideas of ways of boosting the number of workers and decreasing the wait time are integrated into the change plan.
Communication strategies to internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a change plan.
The communication strategy to internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a change plan will first entail identifying and profiling the most critical stakeholders. This is to be followed by establishing the goal for the communication. Thirdly, there will be the selection of the communication medium which may include the use of social media platforms, email addresses, or memos, including many other models (Fischhoff, 2019). The communication of the messages will need to be clear and concise. Finally, there will be a need for constant monitoring feedback and follow-up.
The impact this change plan will have on the organization and its stakeholders
The change plan will greatly impact the organization and all its stakeholders. First, a decrease in the wait time will ensure that the facility offers quality health services and that consumers are satisfied. This will help boost the brand name of the organization. All the stakeholders, on the other hand, will be pleased by their involvement in ensuring efficiency at the facility, where they will have helped the organization improve on its efficiency and service delivery.
The expected outcomes and potential barriers to implementing the change plan
The expected outcomes, include having more effective and faster service delivery, leading to a decrease in the wait time for the patients. However, a major potential barrier likely to be experienced is the lack of enough resources to support a bigger team at the facility. Resources are vital for paying remunerations, training and development programs, more space, and other miscellaneous costs.
Steps for overcoming the potential barriers
To overcome the potential barrier of inadequate resources, there is a need for more financial resources to be diverted from other projects into the facilitation of the plan. This will mean that some projects within the facility will have to acquire lesser resources. Consequently, the plan will acquire the needed resources and be able to run as expected and ultimately meet the expected goals and objectives.
