Final Presentation Assessment Rubric for a PowerPoint Presentation

The student has utilized between 5 and 7* minutes to complete their presentation. The instructor does not have to stop student presentations due to time constraints.
The student speaks clearly. The student does not mumble. The student uses appropriate diction and supports their diaphragm when speaking. The student speaks at a relaxed, natural pace – not too slow and not too fast. The student does not use filler words, including “like” or “um.”
The student included a title slide with, at the very least, the title of their paper, their name, their course, their instructor name, and the due date of the assignment. 2.) The student’s second slide includes their FULL thesis statement with no errors in grammar, punctuation, or spelling. This slide should be the ONLY slide that includes a complete sentence. 3.) The residual amount of slides (at least three (3) for the main sections) only use necessary words or phrases. All information directly applies to the thesis statement presented in slide 2. There is no extraneous information. 4.) The student does not blatantly refer to their paper during the presentation. The student does not read directly from the paper or off of the slides (with the exception of slide 2).
