The Six Sigma model which focuses on data analysis and numerous methods for evaluation, is my chosen CQI technique. The cost-benefit analysis, which contrasts the financial advantage of a choice with the expenditures involved in implementing it, is a component of the Six Sigma methodology (Raval and Shankar, 2019). Control charts can predict a level of statistical control with several variables and are used to assess how near a process is to be stable. Data must be gathered continuously during the process and compared to the established criteria to use control charts.

It is necessary to generalize consumers in the CTQ Trees (critical to quality) to make it simpler and more manageable to produce things for several customers with similar needs. The “5 Whys” is another method for identifying and removing the root causes of a flaw or malfunction. Simply said, the question “Why?” is posed five times to the issue, with each “Why?” addressing the answer to the one before.”  Six Sigma is about defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling (DMAIC) (Scala and Improta, 2021). As you can see from its numerous techniques to evaluate data for improvement and control, it is specifically built for that.

 Limitations

Six Sigma produces a lot of empirical data by monitoring corporate operations minute-by-minute and creates lengthy, intricate procedures as a result. Additionally, considering that it is a core in ensuring the improvements of quality, implementation of the protocols will automatically increase the company’s expenses.

When implementing the model, there are higher chances that challenges will arise as the company can majorly consider the strategies recommended by the model, which might, in turn, lead to ignoring the company’s policies and mission. It could limit innovative ideas for small enterprises that encourage creativity and risk-taking since they need to be implemented. Companies must locate accredited Six Sigma training facilities to provide employee training, or they must undertake in-house training without official accreditation. In either scenario, small enterprises cannot embrace Six Sigma due to the prohibitive costs involved. Even big businesses have to give their staff a ton of training so they can understand the system.
