Living in a bungalow calls for a home network setup that suffices many people. It’s expensive to set up a wired connection due to long network cables and having them sealed and protected. The home network setup will have a wired and wireless network. Some devices require a wired connection that is more reliable, secure, and stable. Most of the devices at home can easily connect to the network wirelessly. These devices lack a connection to plug in the physical cable, which makes the wireless network essential to get the devices running (Steve, 2021). Ethernet ports will be reserved for devices and rooms that need it, such as the study room for a reliable connection.

The home network setup will have a modem, a router, two switches, and a WIFI repeater (Hamid, Ang, and Jaafar, 2020). Every floor will have its switch and a wireless access point. The wired network will be connected to the study room and computer room through cabling. The wired network will be done through cabling, Ethernet over UTP cable, and a router which will be used to connect the network to the internet (Das et al., 2021). The Ethernet cables will be connected to the modem. The most efficient wiring will be coaxial wiring for the wired connection since its easy to install, durable, and makes the internet faster and more reliable.

The wireless network will be done in all the other rooms through a wireless router. The wireless routers will be placed in all rooms relying on the wireless network to deliver broadcast WIFI signals from the internet modem throughout the house. The Ethernet cables will connect from the modem to the wireless router (Khan, 2018). The routers will be placed at central positions to avoid wireless interruptions. Therefore, the home network setup will have both wired and wireless connections. A good home network will have wireless and wired networks (Lehr and Chapin, 2010). Using both wireless and wired networks is to increase the convenience and flexibility of use with different devices.
