Students are required to submit weekly reflective narratives throughout the course that will culminate in a final, course-long reflective journal due in Topic 10. The narratives help students integrate leadership and inquiry into current practice.

This reflection journal also allows students to outline what they have discovered about their professional practice, personal strengths and weaknesses, and additional resources that could be introduced in a given situation to influence optimal outcomes. Each week students should also explain how they met a course competency or course objective(s).

In each week’s entry, students should reflect on the personal knowledge and skills gained throughout the course. Journal entries should address one or more of the areas stated below. In the Topic 10 graded submission, each of the areas below should be addressed as part of the summary submission.

From the course, I have acquired knowledge on matters regarding health care delivery and clinical systems. It is manifest that health care delivery forms the most visible functions of the health system to both patients and to the public in general. A major lesson learned regarding health care delivery is the need for professionalism when one is executing their duty (Rhatigan Jr, 2020). I have also learned about the need for quality health care delivery for the sake of the wellbeing of the patients in any hospital setting.

The course enabled me to get conversant with aspects of health care delivery and clinical systems. This is since all aspects matter in the organization and delivery of services, which include treatment of diseases, maintenance, and restoration of health (Everett & De Oliveira, 2021).  I learned about the need for all stakeholders within health care to be keen on ensuring quality service delivery. This is since everyone working in a hospital setup needs to have an understanding of the integration of care and ensure that sustainable solutions are provided to all those seeking care.

I also got to learn about the importance of health care practitioners and managers in understanding and managing the intricacies of the health care delivery system.  This is vital since practitioners need to exhaustively understand the health care system, and hence be key players in ensuring that quality care is received by all patients (Rhatigan Jr, 2020).  I finally learned the need to familiarize myself with all the required lessons regarding the healthcare system, which will help in making me a better healthcare provider in the future.
