Challenges in Life
One of the main challenges I have faced is managing my time and fear of the unknown. I am a working student, and going back to school was a challenge for me as I had to juggle my family life, work, and school. This has been a challenge for me and has led to me having anxiety attacks on many occasions as I do not know what to expect. Some days have been harder, and I felt like I was losing time I would not be able to recover. I have, however, been working on these two factors. The first step I took was doing mindfulness exercises such as meditation. It helps me calm down and get my racing thoughts to stop. Meditation has also helped me be better organized, and now I have a better grip of my time.
I also realized that the fear of the unknown was fueled mainly by the fact that I rarely planned out my days. I have therefore decided that despite not knowing what comes next, I will always make a plan. Making a plan has helped with my days as I manage to spare time for family, myself and to get to school work in good time. I do not have it locked yet, but I have seen some progress. Planning out my day has led to me being less anxious and thus lesser anxiety attacks. I have also learned ta accept that I cannot do it all on my own and take all the help I can get from friends and family. My family members are supportive and help me do the chores I cannot handle in a day, which has given me a reprieve. I also learned that there is strength in accepting help.
