I agree with your post on two main points; primarily, we recognize that the patient experienced a hypersensitivity reaction or an allergy to amoxicillin-penicillin caused by Type I reaction IgE mediated. Secondly, I feel you analyzed the physiologic response of the cells adequately by showing the presence and role of mast cells, B-cells, basophils, eosinophils, and neutrophils cells in the reaction the patient encountered. According to my research, type 1 hypersensitivity reaction of the drugs in the patient disrupted the physiological processes as they may have caused cellular destructions (Chaplin, 2010). More importantly, there could have been extreme sensitivity of the mucosa tissues that would result in the mast cells releasing chemicals responsible for the inflammation and adverse side effects. This assessment is plausible, and I agree with it as when a patient experiences an allergic reaction, the production of IgE antibodies are produced in the immune systems. Upon reaching the cells, in this case, mast cells, potent chemicals are created, resulting in an allergic reaction such as swelling the tongue, lips, and experiencing breathing difficulties.
I agree that genetics influence immune response, as through a study and fine mapping of β-lactams genetic predictors conducted among 387 patients, the findings indicated that gene variants such as HLA-DRA were significant predictors of allergic reactions to penicillin. HLA antigen plays a central role in influencing immune response and allergy reactions (Guéant, Romano, & Cornejo-Garcia, 2015). This shows that the Type 1 antibodies have strong genetic connections that may result in overreactions to amoxicillin-penicillin, thus causing inflammation and anaphylactic conditions. This is identified and well explained in your post. For that reason, I agree with your explanation, assessment, and physiological connection as it is plausible and consistent with other research.
