Please see the attached documents. Please use the template for the case study. Attached are the instructions to complete the case study and also a sample case study that can be reviewed. Attached is also the script for the case study (and a part of the film that I found on YouTube, that can be used to show Rons reactions while explaining his symptoms). Thanks

| Panic disorder is different panic disorder since it’s characterized by unexpected and recurrent panic attacks (Bandelow and Domschke, 2015). The exact reason for panic disorder has not yet been known but there exists several factors that are thought to hold a role in panic disorder development. Some of the major factors that lead to panic disorder include brain abnormalities, family history, stress and substance abuse (Nelson, Kelly, Wadsworth and Maloney, 2022) Environmental and genetic factors play a great role in the pathogenesis of panic disorder. Genetic influence of panic disorder is possible for current client’s diagnosis. | ||
| Prognosis – 4-6 Sentences | ||
| Cackovic, Nazir and Marwaha (2022) states that patients with good premorbid function and a short duration of symptoms are linked to good prognosis. Generally, short term prognosis is positive with most panic disorder patients achieving remission within six months. Patients respond to treatment ether through cognitive behavioral therapy or psychodynamic psychotherapy. Triggers of poor health outcomes include high interpersonal sensitivity, chronic illnesses and risks of suicide. | ||
| Treatment Recommendations | ||
| The main treatment approaches for panic disorder include pharmacological and psychological interventions. Psychological interventions comprise of cognitive behavioral therapy. Cognitive therapy helps panic disorder patients to identify, challenge and modify dysfunctional ideas linked to panic symptoms (Sivolap, 2017). Pharmacological treatments include benzodiazepines such as alprazolam and antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (Quagliato, Freire and Nardi, 2018). Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are first line treatments of panic disorder and can help in treatment of comorbidities of panic disorder. | ||
