Introduction: Print media is the oldest basic form of mass communication. Print media has existed for the longest time now.

Thesis: The New York Times is an American daily newspaper based in New York. The paper was first founded in 1851 (logomyway). The company is owned by the New York times company. The paper is the biggest metropolitan paper in America, and the times square is named after it.

Paragraph 1: The paper was founded in 1851 by ex-banker George Jones and politician Henry J. Raymond. The paper was first named the New York Daily Times. The original investors in the company included Christopher Morgan, Edward B. Wesley, and Edwin B. Morgan

Paragraph 2: In the 1880s, the paper stopped backing republican candidates and became an analytical paper and politically neutral. In 1884 it backed the democratic party presidential candidate, which cost the paper some of its readership but it regained footing a few years later.

Paragraph 3: The Times is one of the most influential papers in the US. It has a fashion segment that determines what young people will wear. It affects the culture of the people and their ideologies. What the paper publishes is important as many Americans read it.
