Thank you for receiving my order, I attach the order instruction and underline what information is needed for the first part (first page) and the second part (second page). I breakdown the grading rubric as well to make it easier on what content to get focused on.
ANSWER
Scientific Methods
Science involves the use of facts to prove a certain hypothesis. The scientific method is the process of experimentation which is used to explore observations and answer questions. In science, everything involves answering certain questions through observations and ensuring that they are stated as facts. For example, in studying the growth and development of human beings, scientists have to study a growing child through observation, and they have to answer questions such as at what stage a human being starts walking? These questions are answered by keeping tabs on the subject and through observation (Haig, 2019). I read certain research on the effect of nature vs nurture on a child’s development. The research involved children in four different locations in the world, their developmental stages and how their environment affected their growth and development. The research followed the scientific method as it involved observing the children and trying to answer the question of the effects of the environment on a child’s development.
The study, in this case, was an observational study. It involved studying children in different parts of the world who were of the same age and how they adapted to their environment. The study was not a clinical study; thus, randomization was not involved (Blessing, 2011). The study, in this case, was a simple scientific study that mostly involved observation. The participants in the study went on with their daily lives without adjusting anything, and the scientists observed without interrupting their lives. This means that the data collected in the study was original and did not involve tampering, as the families did not change their lifestyles because scientists were observing them. The children grew as normally as any other children around the world. The only difference was they were being studied.
Research Project Proposal
A research project that I would like to propose is the impact of nature vs nurture. I would propose scientific research where the impact of nature vs nurture would be tested. In this scientific research, the researchers would be observing the impact of a child’s environment on their behaviour vs their biological makeup. In this case, two children would be used in the experiment where one from good parents would be raised in a chaotic environment, and one from a chaotic environment would be raised in a peaceful one. The children would then be taken out of their environments and placed in a neutral environment, and their behaviour would be observed. The scientists would observe the impact of the environment in which each child was raised and how it impacted the patterns of their behaviour would also be observed to see if they have any characteristics of their parents.
The scientific method involves processes such as background research. In this science project, I would use background research to first find information and the best ways to carry out the project. This would ensure that the project, in this case, has sufficient information on how it should be carried out to ensure that the results are accurate (Haig, 2019). I would also construct a hypothesis. In this case, my hypothesis would be that nature impacts a person’s behaviour and that the environment in which they are raised does not change their behaviour. This would enable me to carry out the research with an objective in mind, which is studying the behavioural patterns of children in different environments.
