Role of Engagement of Stakeholders Summary

The main goal and purpose of the project were to obtain information regarding which variety of dermal filler replacement practice is more favorable in reaching stellar results while offering comfort and minimal hurting for patients. The project will focus on comparing placement using a hypodermic needle or a blunt tip cannula. The project will distinguish which is the best placement for patients and let the injectors to offer more radical treatments. Therefore, during this project, different stakeholders involved in the provision of care and treatment advancement will help carry out the project and determine the best placement that will result in patient satisfaction, comfort and probably a less healing time.

In projects, stakeholders are individuals or groups interested in the proposed change and can impact or influence the success of that change. Stakeholder engagement entails creating and maintaining relationships between different stakeholders (Silvius and Schipper, 2019). This includes maintaining individuals’ active support and commitment to change implementation through the project delivery. By understanding the motives and agendas of different stakeholders, it’s possible to impact the process of change positively by addressing issues that may lead to probable barriers to change.

Stakeholder engagement typically includes the assessment of stakeholders’ interests, mapping potential impact and influence on them, and identifying key concerns and risks that may lead to engagement barriers (Freeman, Kujala and Sachs, 2017). Stakeholders such as a capstone change project include the internal and external stakeholders that play a major role in planning the operations and improving the performance of a healthcare setting. In the case of this project, the stakeholders will include all individuals linked to the advanced treatment and implementation of healthcare decisions. The healthcare manager, medical leaders, the patients, clinicians, nurse administrators, registered nurse practitioners and clinical assistants will be the major stakeholders engaged in the clinical project. Each stakeholder plays a supportive role and has preferences and personal needs that need to be considered while determining the most effective approach. It’s expected that their needs will hinder or support a particular placement over the other. Incorporating the needs in examining the most suitable placement will bring a better connection between the best placement and the advancement of treatment.

All interventions within healthcare settings demand the support of the above stakeholders. The patients in the healthcare setting are important stakeholders since they are involved in the research as the primary participants in the placement, thus the major source of the clinical project data. The healthcare manager will play a major role in directing and coordinating the project team members during the project. Involving medical leaders from different medical functions is critical since they can address the concerns and impacts brought about by the project and offer valuable feedback. The nurse administrators will offer vital knowledge and information since they play a major role in overseeing the nurses and creating a safe climate.

The potential end-users are clinicians, clinical assistants, and registered nurse practitioners within the healthcare setting. They have the greatest impact on reaching the project goal since they ensure improved healthcare and hospital efficiency. The physicians, registered nurse practitioners and clinical assistants are the ones who will interact with the new technology daily. It’s important to build an open dialogue with the end-users at an early stage since they will make it easier to understand the impact of the new intervention on the duties and the patient group.

Promoting Stakeholder Participation

The project team will promote stakeholder participation through clear communication to ensure that all the stakeholders have a shared understanding of the project and its aims. Ideally, communication and interaction play a major role in promoting the participation of stakeholders since they find their value in the project. Communicating effectively with the stakeholders will ensure that they agree on the deliverables of the project and their roles (Kujala et al., 2022). Developing connections with the stakeholders increases trust and participation. Ideally, people are likely to work together more efficiently and easily where there is trust.
