Subject: Scientific Management

I want to bring your attention to the scientific management concept. This is one of the vital approaches that all workers are expected to understand because it encompasses benefits like better quality, cost reduction, and improved wages. Thus, familiarizing with the scientific management concept will ensure that everyone accelerates their productivity. I believe that all team members should interact and integrate scientific management approaches in their daily routines. My wish and desire is to ensure that every team member becomes focused on delivering the projected results.

Workers who fit within scientific management

Scientific management is applicable across all workers operating in different organizational areas. Employees working across manufacturing, fast-food businesses, and industrial segments utilize scientific management (Bell & Martin, 2012). Their leaders ensure that these professionals understand all the key aspects associated with this process so that they can adequately internalize it. Considering that its major rationale is to assist employees to boost their capacity, it becomes an essential perspective across all industries and levels. One of the special domains that attracts scientific management use is the managerial level. This approach enables managers to establish a cooperative and harmonic working environment. Also, by ensuring that each worker is allocated an area that specifically suits their interests, managers accelerate productivity in the workplace. Overall, scientific management fits all the workers. Understanding this perspective relies on how well the managerial level integrates it in the business setting.

Addressing organizational problems using scientific management

Absenteeism, turnover, and poor workmanship are crucial problems experienced in the organizational setting. These issues can potentially affect productivity in the workplace. When workers miss their duties, this causes poor organizational outcomes. Managers should introduce suitable incentives to reduce absenteeism in the workplace. This is a crucial tactic that creates room for higher productivity because workers are motivated to attend to their duties based on their benefits. Addressing turnover calls for organizational leaders to select the right people for the job and offer training opportunities. When workers are allocated an area that suits their interests, they are likely to produce advanced results. According to Blake and Moseley (2010), task allocation is one of the fundamental principles of scientific management. This calls for corporate leaders to allocate workers duties that align with their qualifications and interests. Notably, providing training opportunities ensures that organizations limit increased turnovers because they advance workforce capabilities. The other major challenge experienced across various organizations is poor workmanship. This entails employees producing limited results that undermine growth and development.

Fixing the Above Issues

Avoiding absenteeism, turnover, and poor workmanship calls for strategic policies and associated course of action that create a quality working environment for the workforce. For instance, one of the policies that could potentially improve productivity is ensuring that workers are allocated duties and responsibilities that correlate with their qualifications. This will make them motivated in their work and deliver excellent results in the workplace. Thus, it is important for managers to examine the prevalent or potential challenges that undermine productivity to enable them introduce vital strategies that advance corporate results. The policies and associated actions that they implement depends on ground assessment that reveals core issues and the potential ways of handling them. Therefore, the solution behind the identified problems lies on strategic policies and valuable course of action.

Overall, the message that I want to spread to all of you focuses on understanding and accommodating the scientific management approach. I believe it lays the foundation for the organization’s growth and productivity. Thus, I urge everyone to familiarize themselves with this concept and integrate it when handling daily routines. The firm’s progressive growth and advancement rely on the potential of all the workers in producing quality outcomes.
