ANSWER

Compare and Contrast Memory from 2006 to Memory of Today

The 2006 memory processor programs operated from memory, making it bulky and slow to compute (Bannon, 2006). The processor and the memory are the main parts of the computer that determine the computer’s operation speed. In comparison, in today’s memory, programs data is stored in external storage devices such as hard disks, and the users have options to choose between bit rate and data retention and Access speed. This leaves more room for more computations to be done, which makes today’s memory quicker. The 2006 memories data could be easily lost when power is turned off unexpectedly. This memory also stored data that the software needed or one that the software has created; this made it vulnerable to data loss when the computer is turned off abruptly. The current memory allows data to be stored cheaply on secondary storage devices such as hard disks compared to the 2006 memory, which could not support external data storage (Kuznetsov, 2018).

You are tasked with setting up a server for your company. Explain how you would arrange the storage so that you meet the specifications set by your boss that no data can be lost due to failed hard drive, etc

I will begin by configuring the Local Area Network. I will then compile a list of the different usernames alongside their associated IP addresses. I will then go ahead to establish the equipment and also install the required software. I will have to purchase upgraded networked PCs to connect to the server. I will also need an Ethernet cable that I will use to access the internet. I will also need a hard disk that I will use to store data. After ensuring that I have all of the above, I will connect the server to the created network and put it to work. I can also install the medium DVD or a USB and then set up the server.

To complete the setup, I will then arrange the server backup to activate the remote access and remote sharing. I will then finalize by creating an adapter to help access the new consolidated environment within all the machines.

Benefits of the Display Ports Below

Display Port

This port is used as an interface, which can be used to display videos on devices like monitors. It also transmits audio files (Kubiak & Przybysz, 2019). Other packetized data structures can also use this port. It can also work with standards such as thunderbolt and the USB.

Mini Display port

This is a passive technology with the role of helping in delivering video and audio signals from the source of the file to the display device. This port is beneficial as it supports higher resolutions with higher refresh rates (Brief, 2019).

HDMI Port

This port is highly beneficial as it transfers high bandwidth of files, including audio and video. It only requires one cable to connect from the TV to a CVD player, making it easy for home usage as it’s less daunting (Montgomery, 2019). HDMI can transfer more data, leading to higher resolutions and frame rates.

VGA port

This port is more efficient in transferring video signals. It takes the role of transferring video signals from the computer to the monitor. They support up to 2000p, which is good when gaming (Yang & Wu, 2019). However, its quality is not good compared to HDMI and other ports. It is quite obsolete and with a poor quality video.
