• Born in New Jersey on April 11, 1935, and died March 5, 2006
• Born to abusive parents, experienced early childhood trauma with strict catholic cultures that he rejected
• Committed first murder at 14, a gang leader who bullied him
• Dropped out of school at 8th grade
• In his adult life, he was involved in organized crime, hustled roughly in the streets, and killed anyone who offended him
• Association with Gambino Crime Family and being a hired hitman
• Suffered from a personality disorder, (Antisocial Personality), and psychopathic traits (Sociopath)(All That’s Interesting, 2019)

2. Victimology

• Killed four men aged between 40 and 55 years, and other unknown 100 men with unknown ages
• He targeted men he met through organized crimes and his bootlegging activities such as drug and pornographic movie sales(All That’s Interesting, 2019).
• He preferred men although during his teen life he murdered a teen boy and cats
• Men killed are part of organized crime and members of criminal burglary gangs

3. Past Criminal Behavior

• Murder of pets such as cats
• Murder of a young boy at 14 years
• Bootlegging activities of movie piracy and drug sales
• Street criminal and killing contracts

4. Precipitating Events 

• Abusive parents that led to the susceptibility of psychotic breaking
• Psychopathic traits such as torturing animals for his amusement
• Early bullying at 13 years by Charley Lane, which resulted in him killing the boy

5. Details of the Crimes

• Tools and killing techniques used included shooting, stabbing, chainsaws, fire, cyanide, and bludgeoning(All That’s Interesting, 2019).
• A unique technique of freezing dead bodies to make it challenging authorities to establish a time of death, hence the name “Iceman.”
• Leaving injured victims in rat-infested areas to be eaten alive
• Cutting off victims’ fingerprints and teeth removal to eliminate possible identification

6. Markers of Repeat Offender

• He enjoyed killing people over as it reminded him of his father
• Significant mental illness and previous violent nature
• Psychopaths without any remorse or guilt
• Taking crime responsibility
• Antisocial, exploitive, and manipulative personality
• He explained things he likened most in his ‘job’ including the hunt challenge, stalking, and killing successfully excited him(Portman, 2016).
