OVERVIEW
Keller (2014) states “we must love our neighbor, but Christianity gives us very specific teachings about human nature and what makes human beings flourish. We must make sure that our work is done in line with these understandings. Faithful work, then, is to operate out of a Christian Worldview” (p. 21).
The different Christian traditions “give somewhat different answers of how we should go about the task of recapturing vocation. The streams are often confusing to Christians, for they are not perfectly complementary to one another” (Keller, 2014, p.21).
We are going to reflect on some of these sentiments that Keller introduces in Every Good Endeavor.

ANSWER

Glorifying God through Social Justice

Glorifying God at work can take many forms, according to Tim Keller. Some of the ways Keller has listed on serving God at work include furthering social justice in the world. A Christian faced by this prompt will first need to understand furthering social justice and how they can do that at work. Christians have been given different teachings on glorifying God at work, and others have turned to dualism, where they are Christians only within the church. It is, however, wrong for a Christian to think they are Christians only in the church because, as a Christian, one is supposed to spread the gospel of Christ throughout. At work, at home, in social gatherings, all around them, they should glorify God.  It is therefore upon a Christian to know God personally and learn through wisdom and experience.

Christians should therefore serve God through furthering social justice at work. Christians can promote social justice at work at all levels. As an employee or as the manager promoting social justice glorifies God at work. Furthering social justice includes being kind to colleagues, being just and fair. Christians strive to be just like Jesus. Therefore, it is upon a Christian to glorify God through acts of kindness and ensuring that all colleagues, senior or junior, are treated fairly (Adams & Bell, 2016). Ensuring that they receive their due fairly and for the work they have done is furthering justice. Ensuring that there is no exploitation and any form of exploitation or corruption is reported serves God by ensuring social justice prevails. Hiring on merit and not favoritism, rightful promotions are also a form of furthering justice. Doing all these things at work further social justice, and it makes God happy.
