It is important this paper is written following APA format and cites to references to support your statements. Please see below for very specific directions.
Assignment Directions (complete each step)

Cover All of these Topics in Your Paper
• Introduction Paragraph
• Body of Research (Topics 1 to 3)
• Topic 1 – Top 10 Management Skills from the Experts (Title as Such)
Research online to find 2 reliable articles/sources that identify 10 of the top management skills according to management experts or management consultants. In a paragraph or two, explain what these articles identify as the top ten skills. Be sure to use APA format to reference these sources and cite them in the text of your paper. (Be sure to use paragraph format, rather than listing out the skills in bullet points).
Topic 2 – What Do You Feel Are the Top 5 (Title as Such)
Choose 5 of the management skills from these articles that you find most important and discuss why you chose these. Use the learning in the course so far, your experience, and your personal philosophy to explain what you feel are the five of the most important management skills a manager needs to have. Think about how you would like to be treated if you were an employee being managed.
Topic 3 – Future Trends in Management (Title as Such)
Research online to find 1 reliable article/source that discusses what the experts see as trends for future management and leadership skills. In a paragraph or two discuss the article and what you think about the future of management and business. Think about what management skills may be needed in the future, whether managers have these skills today, and how they would develop them for the future. Be sure to use APA format to reference the sources and cite to them in the text of your paper.
Conclusion Paragraph
Please remember that this assignment is for your researched thought. If you describe an opinion, it should be grounded in citation and referenced based on your research. The purpose of the assignment is for you to critically examine issues, using research as your foundation for your ideas. Ideas built from research create credibility with the reader. It also enhances your critical thinking as well as your own enlightenment. Many times, we have an opinion that after we research the opinion, we find that there is evidence of counterintuitive concepts that lead to new ways of looking at our original idea.
ANSWER
Top Management Skills
Introduction
Management skills are an essential concept in today’s business domain. These aspects determine organizational goals and objectives, allowing managers to run their establishments at ease. Investing in valuable managerial skills paves the way for enhanced operations in the workplace. This is because these professionals can handle and manage people and other elements effectively as they possess the right skills. They facilitate the achievement of the established goals and objectives. The managerial ability and capacity to plan, make decisions, delegate, and handle other core activities depend on the established skills. This lays the foundation for the projected milestones in the workplace. Adequate handling of core activities, functions, and linked processes relies on the manager’s capacity to control different approaches in an organization. As the business environment changes, managers should expose themselves to advanced skills that support the desired goals and objectives. Overall, investing in quality managerial skills guarantees improved organizational outcomes.
Top Ten Management Skills from the Experts
Managers are expected to invest in crucial skills that enable them to handle various corporate functions and associated processes. Some of their key roles include planning, solving problems, communication, and delegation. Identifying the top ten management skills allows managers to invest their time and effort in building these essential skills. Maleki et al. (2015) note that managers should possess skills like strategic thinking, problem-solving, effective leadership, familiarity with process and technology application, innovation, and handling human relationships. Other valuable management skills highlighted by Maleki et al. (2015) entail teamwork, conflict management, staff engagement, and time management. These approaches allow managers to handle team members and organizational processes effectively. Ibay and Pa-Alisbo (2020) also note that managers should possess crucial skills like time management, effective communication, teamwork, negotiation, conflict management, operational planning, motivation, financial management, and comprehensive planning. Managers should familiarize themselves with these skills to position themselves in a better place to accelerate organizational growth and development. Aligning themselves with opportunities capable of allowing them to advance these skills is a prerequisite factor.
Top Five Managerial Skills
Effective communication, teamwork, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict management are important managerial skills. I believe that these skills allow managers to handle all daily operations within their organizations sufficiently. For example, a manager can communicate effectively, which leads to improved outcomes. This is because workers are likely to receive information correctly and within the appropriate context. Also, problem-solving abilities ensure that managers introduce viable changes in their institutions. Considering the enormous and numerous problems emerging in the business environment, this is a key characteristic that boosts corporate outcomes. I also feel that when managers can negotiate, handle conflicts, and ensure that members operate as a team, there is a higher chance that their establishments will achieve advanced milestones. I once worked in an environment where the manager possessed greater conflict management skills. This allowed him to create a conducive environment for everyone due to reduced differences and associated conflicts. One of the aspects that he paid attention to was understanding the causes of conflicts (Madalina, 2016). This ensured that the manager effectively solved all the conflicts to prevent the organization from diminishing results often associated with poor interactions in the workplace. As an employee, I would like the manager to treat me with humanity and fairness. I believe that I am not perfect, and as such, the manager should strive to understand my points of weaknesses and guide me accordingly. Notably, I would also like to receive fair treatment as my counterparts do in the workplace.
Future Trends in Management
In rapidly changing and complex managerial and leadership domains, a dire need to invest in advanced skills has emerged. There is a growing recognition for leadership and managerial development to ensure that companies meet their targeted goals and objectives in a volatile, uncertain, and complex setting (Moldoveanu & Narayandas, 2019). Exposure to advanced digital and problem-solving abilities will enable leaders and managers to initiate significant organizational changes. Some of the management skills that will be highly valuable in the future include interpersonal skills, cloud-based management skills, and collaborative problem-solving abilities. These will allow managers to transform their institutions to greater heights. These professionals possess these traits in today’s setting. However, as the business environment becomes complex, there is a dire need to deepen their exposure to advanced systems and structures to boost these skills. For example, managers can learn different tips and insights through various technological systems focusing on improving vital skills.
Conclusion
Management skills entail the composition of abilities that allow managers to plan, make vital decisions, and handle other core activities. Notable skills include effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and negotiation. Managers should ensure that they cultivate these skills as they offer an excellent opportunity for achieving the desired goals and objectives. As the business environment becomes complex and volatile, managers should expose themselves to systems and structures to boost their skills. The likelihood of achieving the projected milestones depends on how well managers cultivate and develop crucial skills. Overall, managers should invest their time and efforts in building skills that boost personal and professional growth. This will potentially translate to improved corporate performance, growth and productivity based on the capabilities that managers have cultivated.
