Area of Difficulty #1: The Loneliness of Growing Up
Area of Difficulty #1: Explanation
Alice grows up with inescapable sense of loneliness throughout her adventures. Her only companion was the cat before she finally entered the looking Glass world. She frequently meets disappointment every time she tries to seek understanding and compassion from the individuals she means.
she was rudely treated by the flowers of Humpty Dumpty. The Fawn flew from her after the Fawn realized she was human.
Area of Difficulty #2: Language to Order the World
Area of Difficulty #2: Explanation
From the setting of through the Looking-Glass we understand that language has the capacity to anticipate and even cause events. On several occasions we realized that Iris must recite a nursery rhymes allowed. The nursery rhymes cause the Tweedledum and Tweedle-dee’s, the lion and the unicorns to perform the actions that Alice resides in her nursery poems.
We learn that language is a powerful tool not only used for conversation but to anticipate and course events.
Area of Difficulty #3: Chess as Metaphor for Fate
Area of Difficulty #3: Explanation
Alice lives in a wild with rigidly constructed rules. the rigid reconstructed rules lead her along the path to a preordained conclusion. Alice does not have so much control over the trajectory that her life takes. Most of her choices and actions are influenced by outside forces. She has very little influence towards her way of becoming the Queen. she does not fully understand the rules of the game and has very limited power on influencing the outcomes.
From carols understanding there must be a larger force that guides individuals through life and all events are preordained. An overarching unseen Force rigidly determines the rules that guides individual choices. Carol suggests that free will is an illusion.
