Before beginning work on this discussion forum, please review the link “Doing Discussion Questions Right,” the expanded grading rubric for the forum, and any specific instructions for this topic.
Before the end of the week, begin commenting on at least two of your classmates’ responses. You can ask technical questions or respond generally to the overall experience. Be objective, clear, and concise. Always use constructive language, even in criticism, to work toward the goal of positive progress. Submit your responses in the Discussion Area.
The goal of protecting patient information privacy often conflicts with the goal of providing the improved healthcare that EMRs can support. Provisions in HIPAA provide some confidentiality protection, but not enough. Potential for a major privacy breach lies in the system of primary or secondary users.

System Implementation
Introduction
System implementation is considered as the last step of any project before the project starts working. The stage comes with different software and hardware that have been set in a way that allows direct installation. Implementation of any EHR system will involve consideration of and approach that ins multi-discipline in a way that will ensure security and privacy compliance, come up with practice workflows and most importantly training use to manage any adoption process in general.
Physical Location
Typically, physical location will depend on the types of hardware to be used and the purpose of each equipment. One primary physical place will be a computer laboratory, particularly in the IT department. A computer lab will contain essential hardware devices like workstations, printers, and other necessary hardware to allows easy and effective access for most people. Different locations will be in each department where there will be a limited number of workstations for general use, particularly by people working in that department (McAlearney, et al., 2012). Each department should also have its server, which will be connected to other departments to facilitate effective sharing of information, hardware and even resources. The goals, in this case, is to ensure effectiveness in using information technology to promote the operation of the organizations and sharing and using the information in general.
User Preparation
To ensure effectiveness when it comes to the use of such a system, it is vital to ensure that people understand how to use the system and how they can promote and improve performance by using it. One of the best ways to provide information about this system would be by giving manuals on the use of every element related to the system. These manuals act as references, particularly when people find it difficult when using the system. Holding meetings to educate these people will also be important in ensuring user preparedness. Typically, the use of manual may result from questioning, which can only be solved through direct communication and explanation by a person that has a good understanding of the system. In this way, it will be easy to improve users’ knowledge of the use of this system. User can also be given a short period to practice and get to know more about the system. Improving confidence in using this system is essential. Practicing is a necessary and sufficient way in which users can enhance their confidence when applying and using this system (Kucukyazici, et al., 2010). In this regard, it will be essential to allow users to familiarize with the system by doing practices through the use of this system.
Installing Hardware and Software
Several factors will affect how hardware and software will be installed. One major factor that would consider in this case is mainly the use and needs of specific hardware and software. Typically, some physical locations will require particular types of either hardware or software, depending on their needs and application. Some of the equipment and software like printers and antivirus will be installed in every work station or computer. I would also base these installations depending on available resources like printers and the total cost the organization hopes to use in consideration to the installation and maintenance of the system in general. All hardware and software will be tested to prevent any problem. If there will be an issue, then the solution will either be replacement or modification in general (Palvia, et al., 2015). After all, installations have competed, then a final test will be done to ensure that the system as whole works without any problem and work without any problem.

Adoption of EMR System
The electronic medical record is a medical information system that is computerized and that collets patient information, stores it, and displays it when needed. This system helps the patients to receive better and improved health care services. It promotes the efficiency of care provided to patients through easily accessible, enhanced and coordinated services from the health care personnel. This positive effect should be encouraging to the population, but the rate of the system’s adaptation is low. This paper aims to express the different barriers to systems adaptation.
The concern about an entities’ or an individual’s access levels to patient’s systems records which could be fragmented and accessible from different sites due to an individual visiting various health care providers is a significant threat. Therefore, causing security defects in some the systems and private health information disclosed to personnel who are not authorized. Also, the system’s software and hardware can have weaknesses which make enables it to be threatened by things like viruses, hackers, and worms (Rodriguez, 2011). And the citizens are aware of such risks and may be reluctant to adopt this system because of the probability of medical records loss.
The employees who work in a facility could accidentally access records without authority, and this one of the most occurring incidents in health care facilities. This is encouraged by the lacking skill in computer security by the staff of the hospital (Rodriguez, 2011). Thus, leading to inappropriate release of information from the health care facility even though not intentional in violation of the health care provision policy.
The issues of weak software’s and hardware’s that are prone to security breach like hackers should be dealt with first. In my view, this course medical identity theft and thus lead, to inaccuracies in the medical records that are life-threatening, caused by using stolen medical identity to commit financial fraud.
